Nine Days Left

So begins the story of the roommate from hell. She has a great personality, but the housekeeping skills of an infant. The kitchen is full of dishes and roaches. The living room floor covered in stains, Caribou coffee cups with some kind of fruit juice in them, dirty laundry, and shopping bags with rotten fruit. The AC is constantly broken due to something that my roommate is constantly doing, I'm sure, and I can't ever seem to find the magazines that I'm supposed to receive. This isn't even the worst of it. By the time I move out, I hope to have explained all the pains of living with the roommate who just pretty much stepped out of the dumpster because these are...

Scramble, Scramble, Surrender

I have not yet found a musician of the month for February...It makes me sad. I just haven't been able to find an artist whom has track after track of good music. Soooooo, I'll just suggest a few artists, songs, and their videos.
Ready
Get set
GOPHER (fooled you)
GO!!!:

Black Betty - Ram Jam

-It's not hard to see why I love this song. Crazy tempo changes, amazing guitar solos, amazing drum solos; I mean, what's not to love about this song. I guess you could call it down home southern rock.

Let's Get Dirty - Redman

-Takes me back. Like way back. I was in seventh grade when this came out? Sixth? Anyway, the video is amazing, I love Redman, for he is one of the few modern rappers that i like. Also, I could dance to this forever...

Maybe Not - Christian Walz
They wouldn't let me embed...
-YOU MUST CLICK THAT LINK. The video for this song is fucking awesome. Also, he is another Swedish guy that makes the most amazing music. Beautiful! How do you say that in Swedish? (Edit: the dancing is soooo cute!!!)

Carry Around - Annuals

-"I've got magic in my head, Magic up my nose, magic comin' out my fingers, magic crawlin' out my eyes, I got magic everywhere, I fucKING LOVE IT" When I heard that, I knew I loved this song. An awesome local Raleigh band that continues to rock my world every time I hear it, the Annuals ran away with my heart at the Cat's Cradle that one day.

Lie Lie Lie - Serj Tankian

-I know you all know and love Serj Tankian religiously after my marvelous musician of the month feature, but I bet you haven't seen the video to one of my favorite songs on his album. I think it's interesting. So I put it up here. I also wanted you to have five solid songs to listen to because I am awesome like that.

Well there you have it. Five awesome songs to add to your arsenal of awesome songs to listen to. You should do a happy dance of joy and jubilation. Yipee! My braces hurt...

I SHALL BE #1!!!

Okay, so everyone knows i am out for the semester due to a lack of funds, right?
WELLLLL, help me be happy by letting me advertise for a second.
This website here (http://www.studentloannetwork.com/10K?sp=Aminusy@yahoo.com) is a chance for you to alllllll win 10k and it's prettttttty simple. Register, make sure to put my email at the bottom, and then eat chips. The chips are for good luck obviously. Anyway, the reason why i'm so excited about this is not because of the money or smutt like that, it's just because they have this point system. They also put the top point earners in a list of the top five. I WANT TO BE NUMBER ONE! It would be nice to see my name in a number one spot somewhere. Plus, the site is very helpful, and i've learned a lot from the forums and such about student loans. This will help me research some more and make my decision about getting a private student loan or not. But, for now, I just want to be number one. NUMBER ONE!! so help me out here. okay. I love you long time if you do.

All Together Now...Ljungblahd

So, I'm updating my musician of the month today. I promise not to let you down and to bring you another delectably unknown artist. This one was really hard. I had to choose between someone i have listened to forever and someone I just recently evaluated. I went with the forever part because I'm cool and nobody can beat me. Anyway, the musician of the month, without any further sidetracks, is Samuel Ljungblahd. He is a Swedish R&B/Jazz/Gospel singer and he is so good that he transcends three music genres. No. I'm not lying. He does. I was hooked in August by the first track i ever heard by him, Eazy, off of his debut album (Reason Why) and i still listen to that song to this day. It's as if it never gets old. All of his other songs are just as 'eazy' to get into, especially if you're one who is down for any kind of music. The songs on his album just aren't able to stay in one genre or another, and because of his magnificent mastery of that I give him my musician of the month award for January. The only bad thing about this musician is that he is so little known in the United States that there is almost no possible way to get his music. The only option is iTunes, and not only do I not have the program, I also don't really have the money at the moment to buy it offline. If it were in stores though, I could probably buy it in a heartbeat because I'm a sad little impulse buyer when it comes to music. Back on subject, it is quite obvious to me that he is a sensation that should head its way over here to the states because he's an awesome singer and because i said so. Everyone has to follow what I say. His last name is also awesome. I think I will name your child that, if you don't mind.
You'll Like Samuel Ljungblahd if you like: Justin Timberlake, John Legend, Robyn Thicke, Stevie Wonder, That song Roxanne I dunno who it's by, etc.

The runner up was Lightspeed Champion. So we'll call him the musician of the month for December. I only like a couple of his songs though, so he's not as good of a pick.
My life - uh...I'm being forced to take a semester off from school. I had money that didn't come in by the deadline to register for classes. So, yeah. I'm trying to get a full-time part-time (that makes sense, just think about it) job. That way i can get an apartment for summer session and next fall. I might also get my license and some other little things that i've been wanting to have like Ljungblahd's babies, i mean, mp3s...yeah...
You are the reason why I smile,

Christmas Tyme!!

Simply having a wonderful christmas time!
I hated christmas about a week ago...
but shoot me...k...everyone is a hypocrite.
No one has caught my attention to make musician of the month, but when I find him/her/them I will make sure to put my creative abilities to use and do a little useless thingy about them.
There's ink on my finger...it won't go away...it's from my exams this morning...no more of those until like thursday and then i'm home free. First semester of college, I must say, has been fully eventful. Made a lot of friends, did a lot of shit, been to a lot of parties, danced a lot, and studied harder for econ than i've ever studied in my entire life. Damn my horrible multiple choice skills. Damn them to hell...forever...with those nasty red hot dogs...those things are untasty...I also just found a new word.
For once in my life, I can't wait to go home and lay my happy ass on the carpet and not do anything for like a month. Except fill out the fafsa again. Which will mean nothing. As always.
If anybody gots anything i can do for the next two days, you can call me...
Life is good, as it should be. AND omg i wish i hadn't started my blog over again...I wanna check something but it is disappeared. cry and cryness.
I AM FISH HEAR ME SWIM,

POWER SERJ

In case you haven't clicked the Musician Of The Month link that I just newly put up after Halloween, the artist to the left of this text here is Serj Tankian. If you're wondering, 'hey isn't that the guy from..' yes that is the guy from System of A Down. He just recently put out a solo album that I do so love to death, so I decided to do some research and actually do a Musician of the Month Feature. Are you ready? We start in....NOW. Elect The Dead, Takian's newly new (yes, newly new) solo album, continues to give either political...hold on....there are some random guys in my suitemate's room and it's making me afraid. Anyway, his album continues to give either strong political harmonies or random sporaticness that we all love about System of A Down. The only things astoundingly different are the increase in amazing piano riffs and the lack of the guitarists high pitch voice, but don't worry, Tankian himself provides that for us every once in a while on the album. My recommended songs have to be "The Unthinking Majority" and "Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition." "The Unthinking Majority" is just an amazing political rally song. If you ever want to start a revolution, this would be the song to do it to. Just like when I have a revolution against these random ass men in my suite mates room making all sorts of noise, I will play this song loud as hell. The song also provides amazing breaks for the delicious piano riff that just makes my soul leap into some kind of Russian dance (yes, I know he's Armenian). "Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition" is a mixture of that politicalness and sporaticness that I talked about earlier and that is exactly why I like it. Tankian sings about the "guns being above the ground" but the song in itself switches rhythms and even goes into a soulful harmonic part. That part basically electrocutes my soul. I don't know how. It's like a...umm...how do I explain...POWER SERJ of the heart. IT'S OVER NINE THOUSAND!

You'll like Serj Tankian if you like: System of A Down, Rage Against The Machine, Static X, Mindless Self Indulgence, etc.
